Emerson Bungalow Gets Beautiful Home Update
Yes, for Spring Renovations!
Q2 has been bustling for Drea & Co., including a beautiful update of our Emerson Project. We started with a 1930's bungalow style home with some really great bones. We went all in, updating and refreshing the space while maintaining the vintage character. Think archways, crystal doorknobs, original hardwood floors... we kept those dreamy elements and modernized around them. Keep scrolling for the details and before and after photos. Before and Afters
Kitchen
We pulled up five layers of flooring before laying new ceramic tile! I honestly thought we were being punked when yet another layer of linoleum was exposed :O
We needed to keep a vintage style and play up the retro diner feel. So we planned to update paint colors for a more modern feel and add in industrial pendant lights. We also updated cabinet hardwares with brushed nickel pulls and knobs. Lastly, touch up the cabinet paint with a clean coat of white.

Dining Room
For the dining room, it was all about creating an elegant dining space with lux seating, and updating some of the existing wall colors to a more neutral backdrop. We added a gorgeous, modern light fixture and crown molding. Lots of texture and moody tones to amp up the glam.

Living Room Plus
In addition to the dining room and kitchen, we made some major updates to the living room as well bathrooms, bedrooms and the basement. Some of those spaces are still underway for Phase 2 of the project. But we'll give you a peak for now. We repainted every room in the house and it really brightened the space and gave a clean look. New light fixtures and window treatments abound. Take a look.
