Curbside Coffee! 5 Indianapolis Spots for Curbside Coffee and More During Covid
Despite the many changes we face right now, one thing has remained persistent. America’s need for caffeine has shown no signs of slowing down. I am definitely relishing in the ability to make a good cup of joe at home, but there are still times when you need the expert touch. If you are heading out to essential work duties, you may need a pick me up, or two.
Many of our fav cafes are temporarily closed, but there are a few that are keeping the lights on and pushing out the coffee juice for us. Here’s a quick list of five personal favorites, that are open and available for your service in Indianapolis. Be sure to check them out and support their staff if you can!
Rose and Lois
Rose & Lois is a brand new coffee shop and mobile bar, located in the Carmel area. I have been following their story from concept to full build out, and what I love about this place is their tenacity and creativity during quarantine time. They opened this spring, which could surely present its challenges (perfect timing, right?). But I noticed that they jumped right out the gate with safe options for drive thru coffee with their mobile bar. After doing some digging, I learned that the founder, Rachel, is a Food and Application Scientist by training. So it all makes sense. Love to see food science and ingenuity at work here, and it definitely makes me confident that safe, clean practices are being used behind the scenes.
But back to the drinks. Pull up to Rose & Lois for a full menu of coffee, espresso drinks, lunch items and tons more. They’re even serving up the ever trendy Whipped Coffee, incase you struggled making it at home (like me). They have deliveries right now as well!

General American Donut Company
GADCO is an Indy favorite, known for their craft donuts. They are truly OG’s in the game and continue to level up on the goods! In addition to amazing donuts (traditional Raised Glazed, followed by the Bennie, if we are talking favorites) they’re also brewing up Stumptown Coffee beverages. I’m a latte girl, and they never fail me.
Pro Tip: Pull up (or call ahead) and order one donut, the Classic Chicken sandwich (yep they do that too) and a latte for curbside. They will bring it right out to your car, and your day will be made in the shade. They are also available on Grubhubs and the like. Follow their IG page for the most up to date info.

Hubbard and Cravens
Hubbard and Cravens is undoubtedly a staple in the Indianapolis coffee community, and a staple in my Hazelnut latte lineup. I am so happy to see that they are still chugging away, and finding ways to serve up coffee to the city. Okay, so I cheated a little bit. Technically, H&C is not doing curbside but you can do a carryout order at both their Broad Ripple and 49th & Penn locations. You can call in ahead so that you order is ready to go upon arrival!
Stay up to date on news about their location openings and hours via social and shop online to get some of the good stuff delivered at home.

Quills
Oh, Quills. You guys just get it. Whenever I’m rolling through downtown Indy, I make it a point to stop in a grab a little espresso to go. Quills also has locations in Louisville, so for our Kentucky peeps - be sure to check them out. Right now, they have a super convenient curbside ordering system right on the website. I love their Cafe Miel, but I’ve also got my eye on the Porch Swing Peach Lavender Latte. Listen, if you haven’t tried adding a floral-fruity essence to your coffee, you haven’t lived yet.
Quills is doing a good job of updating on the IG page as well, and keeping folks in the loop of any changes. When outside is open again, I can’t wait to have a sip in the cafe and bask in all of the vibes and beautiful decor.

Bluebeard
Fresh brewed coffees, a full stock of wines, spirits and fancy sodas. In addition to a full carryout dining menu, Bluebeard and their sister bakery, Amelia’s is providing the community with no-contact curbside service 7 days a week. Now if you guys really know me, then you know how deep my love runs for Bluebeard. We go way back. I love that they are bringing on the service and making so much of their menu available right now. If you need to make a fancy cocktail at home, best believe they can supply you with all of the ingredients you need.
Check out their website to place an order for pickup. They even have some grocery items to pair with your drip coffee.
