How to Throw a Stylish Holiday Soiree
The time is drawing near, which means you have just a few days to design those beautiful tablescapes and get your holiday guests fed! Ashley McClendon, Content Manager for Iconic Home Magazine, was able to lend her designer expertise and bless us with a few excellent styling tips. Iconic Home Christmas
Seeded Eucalyptus Garland. Don’t overwhelm the table with Christmas greenery. Instead use one thin garland in the center , carefully draped around your DIY centerpieces.
Salad Plates. For fun, choose one item with Christmas phrases on them. These beautiful salad plates will do the trick, they’ll fill your guest with holiday cheer.
Square Champagne Glasses. I feel there is a certain level of class that a square champagne glass brings. Include this in your table décor to remind your guest that this is an elegant and classy atmosphere!
Place Cards. Keep it chic, use custom wooden names as place cards. This way all of your guest will have a unique keepsake from the party.
Gold Cake Plate. If you can’t find the style you like in your color of choice, spray paint it. Simple!
Red Velvet Table Fabric. Table runners are a must when creating elegant and fun dinner parties.
Gold Chargers and Flatware. Be sure to glam it up, don’t stick with the traditional green and red. Spice your table décor up with subtle gold accents.

Glitz. Okay, I know the mason jar trend has gotten wildly out of hand, and most of us are ready to move on. BUT this easy DIY is a sexy way to add sparkle to your table setting. Champagne Bucket. Keep it chilly my friends. A classic way to keep the bubbly flowing, well past midnight!
A Killer Centerpiece. You can never go wrong with the glam combo of florals + candles. For bold impact, place three to four vases of fresh cut flowers, staggered with a few lit votives. Super moody and an easy way to turn up the atmosphere.
Ice Mold Chiller. You guys know I'm a sucker for pretty. This ice mold can work as a centerpiece, while keeping your wine chilled. I'm dying over this one. Fill your mold with flowers, fruit or any other item you fancy.
Display that Meal. Give your table layers and height when you display those appetizers that you slaved over. My go-to is always a tiered plating tower, like this one. It's inexpensive, and you can find it at Pier 1 Imports.
