Creating Organic Content Like a Pro. Featuring: JORD Wood Watches

I am pumped to talk about something that is near and dear to my heart. Organic social media content. This goes out to my bloggers, business owners and artists. Thanks to social media, the lines between business and personal life have become heavily blurred. What that means for many of us, is that to successfully connect with our audience, we have to balance the delivery of our message. When we talk about the services we provide, our expertise or share our talents - it is simply not enough to say, "look, buy me now!"

Today's social media platforms have trained customers to want the full picture. We don't want to feel like we are constantly watching an ad. Simply put, folks want to know what you're selling but they also want your content to feel relatable and authentic. Not only that, image quality needs to be on point!

With that being said, I've teamed up with JORD Wood Watches to give you some amazing details about their couture products. Along the way, I will walk you through a few quick tips on how to integrate product content organically into your platform (and how to take some killer pics with your camera phone).

I really fell in love with the large face on JORD's "Frankie" watch, pictured here in Ebony and Gold. I'm a big fan of masculine timepieces - even on women. I knew I wanted to display this piece in a way that men and women in my audience could relate. This close up was a great way to bring in the POV for the fellas. Keep reading to see how we flipped to a more feminine touch....

Let's get Instagramy. "Flat Lays" are a ubiquitous trend on the internets these days. They work really well to display your current happenings, tasks or latte of the day. Above, I wanted to show off the gorgeous JORD packaging. I typically stage my flat lays near a window for great lighting. These were all shot and edited on an iPhone. Aerial shots are really pleasing to the eye, but as you can see below - you can change your angles for depth. Have fun with filters, but remember, less is more. Add objects that match your style. Use variety with different shapes and sizes. Boom.

I love the VSCO app when it comes to editing via phone and playing around with fun tones.

FYI - one thing I didn't expect about this watch, was that it is super light weight. Pleasant surprise.

Don't forget to be YOU! Your tribe found you for a reason. They want to see all of the things that make you (or your business) unique. Share what you're doing and how the product really fits into your life. Can I get a cheers to this wrist candy and, to paleo mocktails?!

A quick thanks to @cline.matt for modeling with me! I think we made a JORD believer out of him along the way. Check out his IG journey for a daily dose of cool things (and people) around Indianapolis.

Take a look at their stunning collection and stay tuned for more exciting new with JORD (did someone say "giveaway")...If you need any other tips, let me know how I can help you make the most of your brand.
